Todi is actually a quite nice drink lah

only problem is it gets very stinky due to quick fermentation but when drunk fresh out of the palm tree , very sweet and not at all alcoholic

myself , had drunk it in various countries including Indonesia ...the only difference is the kind of palm tree the todi is tapped, the Indonesian variety is almost like wine in colour , pinkish , and not so alcoholic whereas the Cambodian variety can knock you down

I know you as a Muslim should not touch it ,but I know some Muslims use it as a part of ingredient in cooking

all they do is add calcium or chalk to todi and it turns non alcoholic , but has a unique taste when used as a kind of soup

todi is nothing but a SAP tapped from various palm tree and such it’s very very nutritious for health but since it ferments very quickly it becomes alcoholic and Oh yes ! It stinks too
