Not lavender food court even though there a stall there that sell turtle soup. Jalan besar FC is two bus stop down. A Hdb type of hawker centre and there are at least 3 turtle soup sellers. U been having the herb type of soup but there stall there that serve in those chicken type bowl when the herb contend is mild and u get the original taste of the turtle. Starting price is $8.

tai seng turtle soup is owned by the ang family....the old uncle started the shop...his grandfather is Ang Tai Seng.

Many in the turtle soup sellers are related to them. One is macpherson jackson, the one in guilemard road also related. Then there is one old man in honglim food centre also part of the family.

As for Nippon version I dunno but I saw on a manga abt yakuza where the yakuza give discount voucher for a turtle restaurant to salarymen to entice them to the brothel the yakuza operate next door. There must be some truth to it to make the author to include it inside the story.
