Frequently we hear the often repeated comment that some country or other have spectacular growth rates - and to add punch the growth rate is compared against another country.
Take a country X for example on one side and USA or Japan on the other side.
The latter nations are well developed and their citizens have everything they want. Good housing, Health care, education, food, roads and cars.
They dont have any need for any thing more. They are fully developed.
So they dont have a NEED to have any further growth except to cater for minimal inflation.
Now take country X. It is looking for high growth . Growth rates meant to
speed up their under-development. Because their people are hungry and want things they dont have yet. So they want to grow quickly as possible.
"Economists" and " Analysts" like to look at country X with admiration and make comparisons with the developed nations - boasting that country X is such a great country with zoom growth rates, while the lousy developed nations are stagnating.!...and so on.
Nothing can be more hilarious. Right ?
What are they inadvertently or ignorantly trying to say ?
That country X is super because its people are incredibly hungry, while the developed countries are dead because their people have everything they need !! - ( which is considered a negative ! )
Food for thought indeed !
