I dunno what you meanAt the $7K mark used....this is compelling value IYKWIM
These Swiss watch is for Big Boss Sam onlyPls do not compare low class Swiss watches with high end kamikaze jap watches!
Most normal Seiko u service also dun last longer beyond 1st breakdownUsed to own a few Seiko automatic diver watches... The classic ones. But all kaput already. Troublesome to service. Now prefer standard battery.
Well if U did your research U will know then that it has flaws but also pros.I dunno what you mean
The main flaw is Grand Seiko is not a Chick MagnetWell if U did your research U will know then that it has flaws but also pros.
Grand Seiko has no cachet with the common folk who see Rolex (yes that's true) as the epitome luxury watch brand.
They would laugh you out of the room if U share the price of one of these GS Shunbuns.
One obvious con is lume or should I say the total ABSENCE of it. There is no lume at all.
Combine this with beautifully polished hands on that amazing dial and legibility in poor light takes a bit of a hit, exacerbating the lume issue.
Con 2 - No micro adjustment on bracelet. In our heat, and at this price point it’s unforgivable.
But I’ve had to buy some quite expensive and lovely straps to go with it instead. Poor me right?
Its no Speedmaster or DateJust but it has plenty of positives.
It is exquisitely finished and that pink dial is drop dead gorgeous - at times whiter or silvery but really a sweet pale pink.
As mentioned previously it’s a strap monster - plenty of Delugs and Artems to dress this puppy up.
And because it is Spring drive it’s accuracy is superb.
Bonus is nobody is going to chop my arm off to rob me of it - unlike that Royal Oak, Daytona, etc that the crooks aim for.
I look at it and remind myself how I got back to the point of being able to afford this silly hobby.
So that's what I meant by if U know what I mean..... consider urself informed.
As long as u suka, money well spentView attachment 208624
Just top up a little and get this (new version) at the AD, it is in plentiful supply now and shouldn't have to wait more than 6 months. Mine is the old one.
GS WIS don't hate me ah. I know GS is Patek level of finishing but come on, a luxury watch is for the flex factor. Let's see how you're going to flex a GS in front of 99.9% of people who don't know watches.
If u knock on hard surface , GS will scratch?View attachment 208624

I mean if you are in the market for horology - $7K is a mark that would get you the pedestrian used Seamaster, or Panerai, or Zenith Defy, Hublot Classic Fusion, Speedmaster, Franck Muller Vanguard, Seamaster Aqua Terra, IWC Pilot and vintage Rolex..... if you like anyone of these - sure that's fine. By all means buy a watch that speaks to you. The GS appeals to some and is of no interest to others. So there is no bad choice here - just opinions that differ.thanks. i was wondering about your "At the $7K mark used....this is compelling value" you saying 7K is a good price for this?
