Serious Grace F.U. says "the govt does not have all the answers"

A wasted chance. She could have quoted or at least paraphrased the famous quote.

This fool should be decapitated and his head hung at changi airport.

Really? This know-all govt who keeps preaching that they are the best, that they are happy to do things which make
citizens unhappy. All these pro-people sound bites coming around the election season makes me want to throw up.

For that matter, I have already thrown up! Typical PAP BS before the GE; always pro-people, contrite and even apologetic at times; feel-good soundbites with each Minister dutifully taking their turns. Since they claim they are the best and indispensable for Singapore, they should have all the answers. No question!

When I made the decision to join politics in 2006, pay was not a key factor. Loss of privacy, public scrutiny on myself and my family and loss of personal time were. The disruption to my career was also an important consideration. I had some ground to believe that my family would not suffer a drastic change in the standard of living even though I experienced a drop in my income. So it is with this recent pay cut. If the balance is tilted further in the future, it will make it harder for any one considering political office...Grace Fu

Her arrogance, her words, her "principles" - from the mouth of a politician whose father was a humble press secretary.

It reflects complacency because her constituency gave her a very strong mandate.

Their salaries should be pegged to answers given to problems....then they will be fucking poorly paid.

There is nothing wrong to factor in the salary into consideration when taking up a post Job.
Everyone do it.
Let's be honest
So must she.
But at least if you are taking millions annually, you should perform to the citizens expectation.

It is not like the pay is miniscule in the first place.
Which of the ex-ministers have ever gotten a job which paid higher than
their ministerial pay when they leave. Other than George Yeo and LIm
Hwee Hwa, there are none, possibly. So she should not be talking like she's
the last great cabinet talent.

This is the scam that the gahmen is running. They rake in the millions in salaries, ask youths to provide the ideas
for $50k in prize money over many weeks. Then the gahmen claim credit for whatever is implemented. I will
be a minister for much less than millions of dollars, based on this "business model".

Don't be fooled. The PAP govt has already made up its mind, but pretends to 'seek public feedback' so as to pretend to be a 'consultative' govt that is 'fair' and 'open-minded'.

One word: wayang.

No Biggie...70% will still vote her. And she did quite well in the last erection. Got 73% of the vote.

She is disgraceful. She suffered from this sense of entitlement.

The best part is they create the problems but don't know how to settle the problems.

The source of the problem cannot be expected to also be its solution.

It's like expecting the flu virus to cure your flu. Doesn't work that way.
