Same same like. When they become MPs or Ministers, they would like to act like the PAP. Just wait and see. In fact the PAP MPs made it a point to send condolences to the bereaved family living in their constituency, followed by a visit, except that it is not often publicised and many did not know about it. And it they found that the family is in dire need of financial assistance, or the deceased is a breadwinner, to follow up the case with the CCC. That's one reasons the MP is often followed by CCC members.

People like the thread starter are unaware of it as it is his first time confronted by such a situation. As it happens in an opposition ward, rightly so the MP should attend. He should not expect the PAP members or a Minister to pay a visit. After all, he probably voted for the MP.

Funny feeling - he probably expects a PAP MP to visit a wake, while he did not expect an opposition MP to visit. That's was why it came as a surprise to him.

Where was Crocs Tears Lim Boon Heng - he would have been the perfect guy to represent PAP - turn on the tears in the eye ducts everytime he thinks of the missing millions.

On the other hand, the PAP MPs have no problems rallying their troops whenever they attend to their electorate.

He has hundreds of thousands of supporters (voters) who gave his Party a magnificent victory in HG and Aljunied.

Sure many would want to follow him to such events

He too has his loyal Party members all willing to follow their Great and Dear Leader.

But he went alone as he did not want to bother his supporters and party members,

For they had to rest and attend to other important matters, respectively.
