Singapore Population Rises to 4.99 Million as of End-June

Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Singapore’s population rose to 4.99
million as of end-June, the island’s Department of Statistics
said in an e-mailed statement today.

This includes 3.73 million Singapore residents and 1.25
million non-residents, according to the statement. The total
population last year was 4.84 million, according to a report on
the statistics department’s Web site.

This report lumps citizens together with PRs under "residents". I think that it's by now common knowledge that Singapore has 1m+ PRs. Therefore, Singapore citizens are still at 2m+ only. And therefore, Singaporeans to foreigners ratio is now about 50:50 or even lower?

I'm fairly certain the last report said something about 25% of the resident populations are FTs

Yes, they shd stop farking around with the stats and give a proper breakdown. btw, notice how they tweak the figure to keep it just below the 5 mil mark? should include our non-resident s'porean being given free accom in kamunting courtesy of mudland and voila, 5mil choon2 with 1mil to go!
