A CAMERA-mounted tricycle will soon make tracks in areas here closed off to cars. Google's Street View Trike is following up on the work done by its camera-mounted cars, which took a year to take photos that will go into making Google Street Singapore, a three-dimensional and virtual view of the streets here. Once the project goes live, which Google said would be 'very soon', users can go online and take a virtual walk through the streets, taking in the sights in a 360-degree view. Singapore residents are invited to suggest their favourite spots inaccessible by car where the tricycle can go, for example, the pedestrian- only streets of Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. Google, together with the Singapore Tourism Board, has created five categories for the suggestions: The City, Cultural Areas, Natural Wonders, The River & Quays and Hidden Gems for unique locations that do not fit into the other categories. Visit the Google Singapore website at www.google.com.sg/svtrike to submit your suggestions.
