Woody Goh claims that during an economic downturn, politicians should be paid more to motivate them to work harder to get S'pore out of the recession. Hasn't he heard of the circular movement of an economy as it shifts from expansion to contraction and back again. Greedy politicians just want to be paid fat wages regardless of how the economy is fairing.
