The Grimes twins once again represented Ireland at this year's Eurovision, with Waterline. But despite reasonable odds with the bookies - and an eye-catching routine - Jedward finished in 19th place, slipping 11 places on their previous performance in 2011.

Pastora Soler of Spain gave a passionate performance of Quedate Conmigo (Stay With Me). Earlier in the week, the Spanish entry was hit by controversy after the singer suggested she had been asked not to win, to avoid Spain having to foot the bill for next year's contest.
