The Eurovision Song Contest 2012 was the 57th annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, following Azerbaijan's win in the 2011 Contest. It was won by singer Loreen from Sweden with the song "Euphoria".The two semi-finals were held on 22 and 24 May 2012, and the final was held on 26 May 2012.

Pre-contest favourite Loreen gave a strong performance and surprised no-one with her early lead on the scoreboard. Euphoria has appeared in the charts in 14 countries, and topped the charts in five. Following her victory, Sweden will host the contest next year.
Runners up, the Buranovo Grannies, were well received by some 20,000 spectators in Baku's Crystal Hall. The six choir members hope to rebuild their local church with any proceeds from their track Party for Everybody, and their Eurovision exposure.
