whatever the fuck happened to the basic tenet of justice that one is innocent until proven guilty?

that is just a cultural invention of western society. here in the east, we do things differently. Justice cannot be dispensed too freely to peasants least they abuse it. imagine the din from 1 billion slanty eyed chinks yelling for justice every 2 minutes.

What do you suggest? make her hang a sign over her & parade up & down, outside the shop? maybe? The kids are getting very brash these days...back then, we do pilfer as mischievous kids from the off the wall mama shop..one distract him, the others just take sweets etc.. won't dare commit day light robbery..

since when singapore practise innocent until proven guilty? more often than not, we see male suspects pictures, including mugshots, appearing in scm's newspapers way before the court sentence them wheras the charbo suspects' pictures seldom seen. if not for ppl kpkb abt injustice to the alleged shoplifter, most wont even know about her if if was only circulated among the shopowner facebook. now how about putting the shopowner plus her shop pictures big big on the net too to shame her.

Lucky it was a female owner/sales person who tackled the shop lifter. It it was a guy he would probably be accused of molest by the girl.
