芽笼两帮人起纠纷，20多人当街大混战，十多辆警车迅速到场包抄，严阵以待，当场逮捕9名闹事男子。

本报昨晚接获热心读者通知，芽笼24巷的惹兰茂列（Jalan Molek），出现多辆警车，多名警员在场。

记者赶抵现场，见警方刚封锁惹兰茂列，封锁范围逾100米。接下来的三个小时半，至少五辆警车进入封锁区，另外还有罪案调查车、押送嫌犯的小巴和大型警车。

Geylang always got gang fights and small riots. One thing good, we must respect the police officers there, they are always able to suppress the commotion. Kudos to them. The Little India riot was small initially but inexperienced officer-in-charge blew it up.
