The opposition don't need to play dirty politics. They just need to have a joint platform for their manifesto.
1) Abolish NS and replace with regular army. If public still want NS, then 6 months and both men and women must serve it.
2) Reduce defence budget by 2/3 and divert some of the saved money to health care and education
3) Make all flats freehold
4) Singapore first policy for jobs and govt contracts. companies must prove why they need to hire foreigners.
5) More license will be granted for independent media outlets
6) Abolish ISA, Death Penalty, and POFMA

I don't see why they cannot get more votes if this is their platform.
