APPLICATION for this year's National Day Parade (NDP) tickets will start on Friday until 25 May, and the public can request for tickets through the NDP website, telephone, short message service (SMS), as well as via SAM and AXS stations.

Applicants, who must be Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents, can request for two, four or six tickets, with the chances of obtaining two tickets higher than that of four or six.

Applications can be made for either the NDP preview on Aug 1, or the actual NDP on Aug 9.

There is no limit to the number of applications that each NRIC holder can submit, although only the latest application will be considered for e-balloting.

Tickets will be allocated through an electronic ballot system and successful applicants will be notified from June 9 to 18.

1. The public can apply for this year's National Day Parade (NDP) tickets from 16 to 25 May 09 through telephone, Short Message Service (SMS), SAM, AXS stations and the NDP website (www.ndp.org.sg). The locations of SAM and AXS stations can be found on www.axs.com.sg and www.singpost.com.sg respectively.

2. Applicants can choose to apply for tickets to the Preview on 1 Aug 09 or NDP on 9 Aug 09.

3. Applicants can choose to apply for two, four or six tickets. The chances of obtaining two tickets are higher than that of applications for four or six tickets. Similarly, the chances of obtaining four tickets are higher than that of applications for six tickets.

4. There is no limit to the number of applications that each NRIC holder can submit. However, only the latest application will be entered for e-balloting on 27 May 09.

5. Application for tickets is open only to Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents.

6. Tickets will be allocated through an electronic ballot system, which will be carried out after the application process in the presence of an independent auditor.

7. Successful applicants will be notified from 9 to 18 Jun 09 via the contact numbers that they had provided. They can collect their tickets at the Float@Marina Bay from 20 to 29 Jun 09, between 10am and 10pm daily.

8. For any enquiries or feedback, the public can visit the NDP website or call the NDP phone line at 6410 4015 or 6410 4056. Phone lines are opened from Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm.

APPLICATIONS for the National Day Parade (NDP) 2009 tickets will close just before midnight at 11.59pm on Monday.
Successful applicants will be notified by telephone from 9 to 18 Jun 2009 via the contact numbers provided,the NDP committee said in a statement.

They can collect their tickets at The Float @ Marina Bay from 20 to 29 Jun 2009, from 10am to 10pm daily.The public can call 1800-NDP-2009 (1800-637-2009) or visit the NDP website for more information.

WHEN ballots for Singapore's birthday party closed on Monday at midnight, organisers had been flooded with more than 350,000 ticket applications.
About 27,000 seats are up for grabs for the National Day Parade on Aug 9, but more than 35,000 applications have been streaming in daily since the electronic box office opened on May 16.

The free tickets are available to Singapore citizens and permanent residents.

Successful applicants will be notified by phone between June 9 and June 18, and they can collect their tickets at the Floating Platform on Marina Bay from June 20 to June 29, between 10am and 10pm daily.

SINGAPORE: Organisers of this year's National Day Parade hope to reach out to all Singaporeans to celebrate and reflect on what it means to be Singaporeans.

To celebrate the Singapore Story, the National Day Celebrations will bring together a coordinated series of public engagement activities, outreach projects and public events to get Singaporeans involved.

One programme which was started in April was called Express!, where Singaporeans can express their reflections and thoughts in words, pictures and videos in a series of activities and outreach programmes.

Another programme aims to reach out to Singaporeans overseas through its new media platforms.

Other programmes lined up will enable Singaporeans to explore the different aspects of nationhood.
