Verden – Terrible bloody act in the supermarket!

In an Edeka shopping center in Verden, a man (40) stabbed a woman (27) with several knife wounds on Wednesday afternoon.

Particularly cruel: the little daughter (3) of the woman from Eritrea was there and had to watch at close range how her mother was critically injured.

According to BILD information, a brave shop employee (58) prevented worse things from happening and was able to distract the perpetrator for a short time. He was arrested by the police in the market and is now in custody. The man from Afghanistan is being investigated for attempted manslaughter.

The attacked woman is currently in the hospital fighting for her life. The girl was initially handed over to the youth welfare office.

It is still unclear why the attack happened. Possibly a relationship act, victims and perpetrators should have known each other before. At the time of the crime, the woman was with a man in the supermarket.
