PAS berkata parti itu menyasarkan untuk mengharamkan sepenuhnya industri judi di negara ini menjelang 2025.

Ahli Jawatankuasa Pusat PAS Dr Mohd Zuhdi Marsuki berkata hal itu terkandung dalam perancangan parti itu melalui Wawasan Induk Negara Sejahtera (Wins) yang dikemukakan mereka sebelum PRU ke-14 lalu.

Fasa pertama Wins katanya bermula dari 2018 hingga 2020.

Kata Mohd Zuhdi pengharaman sepenuhnnya industri judi di negara ini memerlukan tempoh tertentu kerana ia bukan saja membabitkan operator berlesen malah kegiatan tanpa lesen dan akitiviti dalam talian.

Untuk sektor berlesan, kata setiausaha politik menteri alam sekitar dan air itu lagi, ia lebih "mudah" diharamkan berbanding yang lain.

"Kegiatan judi berlesen sama ada rumah judi terbuka seperti kasino Genting Highlands atau judi ramalan nombor seperti Sports Toto, Magnum dan Da Ma Cai (ia) mudah dibanteras dengan kehendak politik pemerintah, manakala judi tidak berlesen dan judi dalam talian berbeza," katanya dalam satu kenyataan semalam.
