Start this thread for anything about traveling in China. Nothing specific just general information about traveling in China

Shall start off about this trip to Dongguan's Dalang district.

Dalang has lots of industrial area, the reason for my 1 day trip (one full day working, 2 nights stay) to close a deal in sourcing a product. Landed in Guangzhou's Baiyun Airport and booked a private car to go to Dalang that costs 400 RMB. You think that's expensive well its a 2 hours ride about 90km door to door service, car is a Toyota Altis driver is careful and not speed recklessly.

Arrived in Guangzhou's Baiyun Airport at 7.20pm by the time took the car was already 8pm arriving at 10pm

Most industry here are light not heavy stuff nevertheless its perpetually hazy yet people here told be condition is better than most other cities

Dinner at a local "farmer's" restaurant





In China very ofter one gets worried after seeing the kitchen due to hygiene and cleanliness and also after seeing dogs and snakes and wild birds in cages ready to be slaughtered. Chinese understands foreigners don't eat these things however do inform them before hand.

No idea what this fish is - was told its big head fish 大头鱼, looks very much like Thailand's snakehead

5 pax. The fatty pork is very delicious simply breaks up and melts in your mouth. Cannot have too much in fact I have the bottom part only.

Got to "lick my wound" this morning from 2 bottles of Macallan 18 in the hotel lobby till 2am, crawled out of bed literally.

Factory guys told me to take a bus to Bauyun Airport as the time taken is the same as a car. So caught a 10.30am bus to arrive at 12.30 for my 2.40pm flight. Now posting this in the bus.



Ticket costs 70 RMB and 5 RMB tax so total is 75 RMB


The ride


Looks comfortable however there is a perpetual oily smell seem to be everywhere in China you go you could smell the same thing

Short and busy trip to Dongguan and Foshan last Thursday to Saturday. Too busy to post then as moving from one place to another.

Ok arrived in Baiyun Airport o Thursday and made the 2hrs journey to Dalang Town of Dongguan city

Even after taking the bag leaving the airport got to queue and may stupid people locals and foreigners jump queue
