The MP voters did not like the PAP and Wooden to take liberties with their election like that and it made Wooden's and the PAP's claim of meritocracy an outright lie. that is why he polled 55%. I hope one or more of his entourage of porlumpars is reading this and reminding Wooden the real reason he polled only 55%.

If someone stronger had paired with Nicole, GCT wld have been voted out. Nicole was all alone, unarmed and unafraid. What a glorious and brave SG girl to take on an ex PM! She had almost single handedly kicked GCT out. That wld have been history!

I would like to see the competition in totality. GCT's PAP Team vs kamikase newbie Nicole Seah's NS' Team and GCT getting 55% is a great humiliation for GCT regardless how you look at it

Yes. people compared the eloquent, articulate, and charismatic Nicole, with TPL running against her, it was like a schoolgirl versus Hilary Clinton. People realized that the PAP may talk cock all day about meritocracy but there was nothing meritocratic about the choice of TPL. Wooden seemed to have forgotten all this. Wooden's comments are the SOP for the PAP. Not happy about something, then it must be the People's fault. Its never theirs. eg. if not enough people vote for him, then they must be ungrateful. if too many lifts break down, then its due to high usage by people. If not enough doctors, nurses, IT professionals, must be because sinkies don't want these jobs, etc. u get the picture.

After making the mistake of fielding TPL, I heard that LHL had no choice and went all out to make sure that she succeeds. It was rumoured that LHL gave instructions to his people that whatever TPL asks for, she will get.

You made good points. Town councils are for estate managers. Law makers should not be burdened by town council chores. Running a town council is pap's evil scheme to deny Singaporeans of good MPs

Younger singaporeans are better educated and less gullible than older Singaporeans who were easily conned by the pap.
