have u visited GBTB?
okok.
Yes, damn it! So much money for a garden? Could they have put the money to better use or built a cheaper garden?
I thoroughly enjoyed my day's trip to the Gardens By The Bay. I love the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. They were simply fantastic. I will plan to go there at night. It will be another unforgettable experience. Yes,it is costly and it is expensive, but this is world class and with the world's highest Green House. Another great wonder of Green Technology.

The two places you must never miss when you go there - The Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. I love the Cloud Forest the most simply because it is cooler and it is very comfortable, esp in the heat of the day. The whole place is like a mountain hike at about 2300 metres with all the vegetation ,including the cool temperate climatic conditions! Really marvellous!
The plantations were brought from various countries, the concept and what kind of plants to be taken in was decided by a well known female Japanese plant specialist, I was supposed to do a book about it......flowers, trees and gardens..for S$1B!!!!..how long can it last. will it go the way of the Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden or Tang Dynasty?

sir, it is a good experience. just take a stroll and see the New Singapore...after that, you will certainly be very proud of Singapore minus all the political baggages....just enjoy it. of course, if we start thinking about the money spent and then see our poor singaporeans suffering , you will definitely puke....
you are right Tracy. the way i see it, it is going to be very very expensive to maintain this unique eco-garden. the money have to come from somewhere if the entrance fees are insufficient...perhaps, the Gardens need more sponsors like our Night Safari - another great Singapore's icon.
