I am a resident of Blk 218 AMK for the past 20 years. I can vouched that the standard of up keeping and maintenance is horrendous.
I remembered my block being relatively clean in the 80s. Since a few years back, I observed that it getting filthier and filthier by the year. I also noticed a good number of units are occupied by foreigners. There are China, Philippines, India and other nationalities.
I recalled seeing those Chinamen, spitting and discarding cigarette butts without a care in the world.
There is a Gazebo in front of the block and was used by a foreign Indian family for a birthday party for a toddler.
After the event, they left without even cleaning up and even the buntings and some decors was left behind. So appalling!
Every morning when I leave for work, the ground floor of the entire block of flat will be so filthy with tissues, condoms, leftover food and etc….
They recently fitted two new lifts which stopped at every floor but they removed the 2 older lifts. Why? Thought we were paying for additional lifts to be fitted?
Parking attendant at this particular block is ’super on the ball.’ Maybe the fact that they are using cheap labor in the form of Certis-Cisco and these new warden are so hungry(quota driven) they will book indiscriminately.
I visited a friend lately at Potong Pasir and was so impressed with the state of cleanliness.
Such is the pathetic state of our Town Councils.
“I know where my next sacred vote is headed, do you?”
