KBW is not an engineer. He has a inter-government approved stamp on a paper that says engineering.
Do you believe an African with in a country where the most updated book is 1975 can be a high flying graduate from Havard on a government scholarhsip?
Just heard that they are unable to isolate the issue with regard to the loss wireless transmission after the 4 days. French experts flying in. The possibility that someone is operating a new or a faulty equipment that has nothing do with SMRT in the vicinity has not been ruled out. They even went back to the previous software but still issue persist.
In 1973, he was awarded the Colombo Plan Scholarship from Singapore to study a combined degree program in Engineering and Commerce at the University of Newcastle in Australia. He graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours Class I) and Bachelor of Commerce.[4]
He received his Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in 1982 from the National University of Singapore and received his Doctor of Engineering honoris causa from the University of Newcastle in 2002.[4]

DSO acquired the technology and training from the Israelis on signal jamming and signal tracing to thwart IEDs for the former and drones to bomb target with the latter.
Put in a driver and remove the wireless system can solve the problem?

Thats what they have been doing that for the last 7 days - all trains with drivers. However they cannot switch to full manual as they need to isolate the stray signal source which is impacting the driverless automated system.
They also cannot permanently go back to drivers because it would be a massive failure and defeats the purpose of going into one. Politically a no-no.

As a layman, aren't the signals that is transmitted through the base stations to the receiving stations 'protected' or 'encrypted' within a signals bandwidth?..if a signal source is jamming the signals....somewhere along the line, 'someone' is jamming it right? or there is a rogue transmitter within the system?

Looks like SMRT and LTA are going around in circles and our harikari Khaw is suddenly loss for words.
What if they can't trace the problem in months or ever?
They were talking of about going through the ecological sensitive MacRitchie area. Are they going to stop plans to expand the MRT system?
It's becoming obvious that the MRT technology is far above what the PAP can understand.
Don't worry if they can't trace the problem. Next election just trot out lky and nathan photos and 69.9% will do the necessary.
