A freelance dancer and dance instructor was fined a total of $1,500 on Monday after his probation was revoked.
Lim De Xian, 22, a Malaysian, was placed on 18 months' supervised probation last September on two counts of theft of $250 and $300 from dance instructors at Shawn & Gladys Dance World in 2009 and last year respectively.
Investigation showed that Lim had been stealing money from the dance studio since 2009 when he was taking lessons at the studio at Bain Street.
Lim, a permanent resident here, was in Secondary 2 when he was admitted into a new four-year integrated programme at National Junior College.
