Municipal officers found two knives with 20- and 30-centimetre blades in the residence yard. Joined by the national police, the municipalities arrested the assailant, who was increasingly vocal.
During his transport to the police station, the man made remarks "inquisi- and radical, referring to the Koran, to unfaithful dogs and threatening to lay a bomb at the police station or to use a grenade", according to the police.
Arriving at the post, he refused to undergo alcohol testing, exclaiming that a Muslim does not drink alcohol, while becoming increasingly virulent. He kicked the police officer's forehead, which was conducting his search, and then biting him in the right biceps. The staff member, wounded in the arm, was issued with a seven-day ITT. A second police officer was injured when the young man was placed in a cell, who kicked his leg, causing him an ITT of one day.
In total, three police officers filed a complaint of violence or contempt and threats. Two other threatened officers, witnesses of the facts and occupants of the vehicle, gave the same version of the radical threats of the young person making "deeds of murder".
When he was told, he explained that he had consumed a lot of alcohol to celebrate his new job in a brewery. He apologized for what had happened. He said that he was not a practitioner of the Muslim religion and that his words had passed his thoughts. However, it acknowledged all the facts.
Following his extension of police custody, he was referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and presented to the liberty and detention judge. Placed in pre-trial detention at the Limoges prison, he will be tried on Thursday, by the city's court, for the death threat, carrying a weapon, refusing to submit to alcohol checks, violence against a person vested with public authority, threat of crime or offence against a person vested with the public authority and rebellion.
