i watch the F1 Races on tv.
but have lots of friends working around Suntec,they complain of the inconvenient and high security,which makes their daily normal routine becomes adnormal.

Singapore is an uniquely abnormal country, where the abnornal is now normal. This is abnormal, travel in & out of the road checkpoints, you will know what is "Normal", where you have to 'salute' the ICA officers(they have to see you face etc)..thumbprint check (now removed).....

This F1 seriously did not bring anything to the common people on the ground perhaps only the opportunity to place a bet in the singapore pool.

Only the government is benefiting from all the taxes....

For us, only jam jam and more jam

IMO, only PxP benefit from the F1 .... the only things that we gain are the massive jam, increase in surcharge and .... irritating reports from media on how great and wonderful this event but never know how it make our life worse.....

I do hope it rain and rain till the event is cancel... i have great hope on SG farking weather.....

America did have a F1 event in 2005 but... it didn't turn out very well...

In fact it was a fiasco. Since this is the first night-time formula 1 race here in singapore... i hope nothing of the sort happens.

Locals are more concern over the traffic jam & inconvenience caused by the F1 race & "AIA" incident.

F1 race is beneficial to Angmohs, SPGs & social escorts. Heard the demand for social escorts went up tremendously during this F1 period. In time to come, more local gals will become social escorts. Wow, Govt is right, F1 race & IRs will create more job opportunity for S'poreans.

Not to forget the 2 IRs too.

..and, afterwhich, the MIWs would come out one by one, to claim credit for the event which is sponsored by tax payers' money.

If you are old enough, you may recall the old grand prix (at that time, it was simply known as grand prix. A grand prix is a grand prix, what the fuck it is called F1 anyway) took place at the Old Upper Thomson Road. There were no road block, no ubiquitous metal fencing, no orchestrated pre-racing inspection by MIWs..., everything was simple but beautiful. I think it has generated more excitement and interest then it did today..
