Former NCMP Yee Jenn Jong 余振忠 shares his thoughts over the sudden cancellation of his booking by the National Library Board.

The book launch of "Non-constituency Members of Parliament: What’s Next for the Scheme?", co-authored by Yee and Loke Hoe Yeong, was supposed to be held at the Central Library on 19 July.

However, the organisers were informed a month before the event that the application was cancelled after NLB reviewed the manuscript. Consequently, the book launch had to be held at an alternative location a day earlier.

He said, "We embarked on this journey to capture as much as different voices as possible because we, we believe that, as we develop, we should have this, ability to discuss and debate, even if our views are, different."

Yee added, "And I thought that, you know, a library would be the best place for that because it's a place of knowledge and discussion as we want to evolve the way Singapore should progress"

PAP and the globalists leftists marxist thugs are getting desperate as Trump's return is imminent

When KFC Tony Tan and Woody Goh launched their silly book, how come everything smooth sailing?

The NLB is a disgusting subsidiary of the PAP regime. The sneaky censorship and propaganda starts from an early age.

Many 'wrongthink' books are either conspicuously missing from the catalogue, or there are only one or two copies in the reference library (cannot borrow and bring out).

And that is why in some of the newer or newly renovated libraries, they have allocated a lot of space for 'kids' learning experience', which usually involves some kind of digital interactive nonsense that has nothing to do with books. It's a fucking library, not a noisy kids' museum (National Gallery, shame on you) or a nursery.

Everybody also try to kopy Founding Ah Gong to著书立说, but.....

I've never stepped into the library since 1984. That was the year I borrowed some books but never return them. I wonder how much is the fine now.

set up your own library. e-books are cheap, and if you were resourceful you could get EPUB and PDF versions for free. The day will come when physical copies will end up like CDs and DVDs
