Urm… so he rushed to the burning flat first and then realized he didn’t have the proper tools, ran back home , then ran back to burning flat and realized the occupants were saved by then? Lol oh ok

"I took a few steps into the house but the smoke was too thick. I couldn't see anything and I started having trouble breathing."

Determined to help the children, Mr Firdaus, who was a firefighter from 2009 to 2015, went back to his flat to take a face mask and a torchlight to see better in the smoke.

"Thankfully when I went back to the burning flat, the children were already rescued by police officers. So I quickly evacuated too," he said.

Still bother to run back home? Might as well take a shower 1st, blow dry his hair n changed to his fire figher attire before going back to the burning flat..

Should applaud him for his safe practices, otherwise, he might be a victim himself and added extra burden to rescuers. In life & death situations, always consider your own safety first. This is being taught to all life savers, fire fighters etc.

Grassroots leaders would have charged in first to save the kid. We're taught to put others before self.
