SHE lost her clerk job in a bank after she was charged in September this year for assisting a loan shark.
On Monday, Lim Poh Peng, 40, lost her freedom. She was jailed for four months. As she is unable to pay the fine of $90,000, the single mother of a 15-year-old daughter, would have to serve a further 18 weeks behind bars.
Court papers said Lim started working for a loan shark in April last year as she was in financial difficulties. She was paid $1,600 a month to make electronic money transactions with ATM cards supplied to her by the loan shark.
Investigations revealed that she committed eight offences between May and September this year.
