Take clue from listed SGX construction counters. They didn't really recover from the selldown, it means there is no plan for these foreign workers yet, including those who happily throw the food provided away. Life now is better, in terms of welfare for these foreign workers, right?

As I have said ....majority of Singaporeans wholeheartedly support these policies!

I would think people naturally does not really bother care so much on policies unless it affect us individually.
People are mostly happy with a current job an income and a place to stay in.
People generally dont see how future much but only month to month eg Paycheck

Unless someone strong and able to spread his views and ideas in a quick mass media.
Then slowly the awareness may change us.
