Dogs maimed by illegal wild boar traps

Stray dogs in the northern part of Singapore are being hurt by traps targeted at wild boars.
The Straits Times reported on Monday that the dogs have lost legs after getting caught in the illegal traps placed in forested areas near Kranji.
Groups of men have been spotted going into the forests allegedly in the hope of trapping the wild boars for food. But it is still not known who is setting the traps.
Monkeys and even endangered species such as the pangolin have also been caught by the wire loops.
