This is why I think the narrative will change.

The message will no longer be about how many cases everyday. No longer about how many deaths.

It will be all kinds of articles saying how mild the virus is for most people.

There will likely also be more focus on the economic recovery efforts. How each industry is coping. New stories.

It was back in April 2020 that I posted the above.

It is starting to happen.

Well just too bad for you Sam.

She was lauded and praised for being draconian on lockdowns and going for ZERO cases.

NZ can lah. it is even further than "down under". Closer to Antarctica than the rest of the world.

So yeah I don't see her changing course. It will be a long time before tourists set foot on NZ full time.

But that's a good thing right? Your lakes and all must be much quieter peaceful again. No pesky tourists.

I actually quite enjoy the lockdowns because cycling is so much safer. I've been going for 3 hour bike rides every single day and have not felt as fit for a long time. Prior to the lockdown I did 4 rides a week 2 of which were indoors on my trainer because I simply don't feel safe in weekday traffic anymore.

As a result I've lost a further kilogram which I thought was not possible. I'm now 59kg of solid muscle!!! :roflmao:

The only downside of this hard lockdown is I don't get to enjoy my favorite coffee at my favorite local cafe.

@nayr69sg

You are the best impartial moderator. You've done the right thing by locking the other thread (you know which one). Kudos to you.

When a mod does something that you agree with then he's the "best impartial moderator".

However if you disagree with a mod's decision then he's a fucked up moderator.

Don't worry you're not alone. It's human nature.

No, when did I ever pinpoint to a fucked up moderator, unless you are referring to yourself. But still, I didn't use that F word on you, did I? Credit must and only can be given to those who have done the right thing.

I don't moderate at all so I can't possibly be a fucked up moderator.

I agree with sam . with 80% inoculated it's time to call a spade a spade and open up and go back to normal

unfortunately our thin skinned politicians don't have this luxury of tossing caution to the wind . one wrong turn of events and they will be selling tissue paper on orchard road in 2025

Hmm then you will like Alberta.

Alberta Health has just confirmed to me Dr. Hinshaw is unavailable today. As is deputy CMOH Dr. Andre Corriveau. I was told AH would let me know if that changes. Minister Shandro’s office confirmed earlier today there are no media avails planned for him.
The Chief Medical Officer MIA.
Health Minister MIA
Premier of Alberta also MIA

No more conferences or discussions.

@Leongsam Alberta good right?
