southern Thailand has been rich with natural resource in the land in the sea people there don't live or wait for hand out or buy out, they have higher income, higher education level hence more brain to think unlike people from some part of the country who think nothing of selling their own daughters. once they can sell their daughters they can sell anything including their soul for a few bahts more to anyone who come around every election season

The problem in the south started with and by this symbol; one need to read up and decipher the meaning in this symbol and all will be clear. Like I'd said its got to do with sensitive stuff which can get one into trouble if loosely posted here.



Everywhere in Thailand is poor be it NE or North or South. However the south is blessed with a nicer weather and landscape which allows them to grow more and better fruits and crops and even rubber and palm. Problem is lots of these are controlled by conglomerates so its the same situation as in the other areas in Thailand.

Coming to education, if I may be allowed to use the university ranking of Thailand as a guide among the top 50 universities in Thailand only 3 universities from the south made to the list: Hat Yai (7th place) ; Nakhon Si Thammarat (34th place) ; Songkla (45th place). Bangkok has 22 in the list ; Central (around Bangkok) has 7 ; North has 9 and Northeast (Isaan) has 9. I think the results speaks for itself. I live in Bangkok and among the Bangkokians, southern Thais are considered the least educated and the people very rough and hot tempered with its idiosyncrasies.
