Hey how come if CPF is bankcrupt, and I have hearing this since the time CPF was set up, my grandfather, grandmother, grand aunts, grand uncles, fathers, mothers, aunts and uncles of neighbours got their CPF back at the age of 55? And they are not related to LKY PAP or are PAP members.

In fact some of them had voted for the opposition candidiates because they were a smooth takers or were more good looking than PAP members.

Does a bankrupt institutions got so much money to pay?

CPF works like a Ponzi scheme.

The closer you are to the top of the pyramid, the more likely you'll l get their funds back. Your older relatives are the lucky ones. While you are less fortunate being closer to the base.

With Sporeans being replaced by foreigners, very little new $$$ is being brought in to replenish the CPF funds. Foreigners are also allowed to withdraw their contribution, so their funds are not captive. Majority will eventually go back home with their $$$.

Look at who is still running Temasek, the useless madam Ho who's lost billions. The exact amount must be humungous as it is a state secret. It's no secret that Temasek has been dipping into the CPF pot. Expect more of the same, high pay, losses ,....

Why do you think they are increasing the withdrawal age & converting the CPF into an annuity:confused:

The Police honestly tell you : Low crime rate does not mean no crimes. The same applies to corruption.

International corruption bureaus tell you no country is free of corruption - that means not even a case of corruption. Popes, priests, imams surely must have lied at least once during their lifetime - including when they were a child! Don't belief? Ask the Pope.

yes, but all these people do not trumpet to the world that they are lily clean, incoruptible and absolutely above board. Only Old Goat says so, and hence, he is has to be held to a higher standard. Pope does not pay himself $3 million a year, ok?

SLA cheating case: 6th and final man jailed

The last man in the conspiracy to cheat the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) was jailed for 18 months on Wednesday.

The Straits Times reported that Seah Hwee Thong, 48, was given six months' jail on each of three charges. Seah faces 12 charges in total.

He had deceived SLA into paying a telephone equipment firm, TPL Communication, $59,000 and $59,900 under contracts not fulfilled and for 'perverting the course of justice' in 2008.

The remaining nine charges were considered during his sentencing, reported The Straits Times.

Between Nov 2007 and March 2010, ex-deputy director of SLA's technology and infrastructure department Koh Seah Wee, 41, and then manager Lim Chai Meng, 38, conspired to cheat the statutory board of $12.2 million.

Koh is now serving 22 years jail time, while Lim is serving 15 years.

The pair started cheating SLA towards the end of 2007 when they managed to come up with fake quotations which Koh would approve to get money from the statutory board.

Lim had sourced for more 'vendors' in early 2008 to participate in the scam, in order to avoid suspicion by spreading out the contracts. The vendors were TPL and Advent Enterprise.

Lim would seek advice from Tan Meng Teck, 43, then an assistant manager of a company, on how much to quote and how to describe the transactions. Seah would provide Tan with soft copy templates of TPL's and Advent's invoices.

SLA had awarded 282 contracts worth $12.2 million in total to 11 'vendors'.

Both Advent and TPL received a total amount of $388,260. In June 2010, after Seah heard about the investigations, he had told Mr Eric Tan, then a director of Advent, to make arrangements for several boxes of computer servers to be delivered to Advent's office.

Seah wanted to mislead Commercial Affairs Department investigators and instructed Mr Eric Tan to attach a piece of paper on the boxes, indicating that the equipment were meant for SLA.

Prosecutors could not verify how much he benefited from this scam and Seah has made restitution of $15,000.

Tan Teng Meck was also jailed for 18 months in April on three charges of cheating.
