Bro you can try Pra Chuap , very near to Hua Hin. Boat rental is cheap also and they have very good bottom fishing spots!

just came back from JB Kong kong. went there for a day fishing trip..... got 2 sea bass & 1 grouper.... not too bad. total damage is about S$100.. include boat, bait, lunch & simple dinner... anyone interested ?? i plan to go again on early May...

Well just went fishing from 27 Feb -1 March - SRYC to South China Sea, Eastern Bank and further, water was cold, Crescent Moon, no sotong, so no ang chor, got ah seng, cobia, sting ray, few merah, two kakis used fresh sotong immediate return 7kg groupa, and Ang Chor 7.5 kg.

My line snap 3 times, once main line snap at joint, the other Apollo 2 hooks
40 ilb line sbnap by biggies.

Today 8 March 09 went to Ponggol boatel got a boatman fishing between
Ubin and Changi Club, poor catch, 4 of us caught 7 fishes, really poor catch,
today tide is low. So practically no current, got one hit by groupa and stuck on coral thats it, line gone and fish is gone too.

Will wait till May, 4 April got a trip to TP organised by frens but not keen any more, all the trouble, and very costly, so avoid Tanjong Pinang.

Prefer SRYC to open sea!!
convenient, no hassle of ferry terminal, porters, long travelling time, etc.
