People are not very impress with his leadership and he isn't exactly very popular amongst the voters. Plus the possibility of pap being dragged along with his family disputes is very real.

To migitate the risk, the focus for the coming election needs to be shifted from lhl to the next pm. Else pap will be put on a defensive.

Yes, in M’sia, education minister Maszlee Malik is Hakka Chinese and Malay descent. He is “more Malay” than a Malay person.
Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah, born Peranakan Chinese but raised as a Malay, considered Malay.
