Chitchat FIFA World Cup: Qatar 2022 [Official Thread@]

yep, they most certainly have.
I remember that in the early 1990's, we could buy good Argentinian and Chilean wines for $8 to $10 a bottle (several brands were barely $8) in Toronto.
Until a few years ago, we could still buy average Italian wines for $7 to $9 a bottle.
Gone are those days, where decent wine were under $10 a bottle, and the newspaper(s) publish an annual list of The Best Wine Under $10.
Over the past four decades, I have seen the increases in prices for the annual third Thursday of Nov release of Beaujolais Nouveau and the Italian Novello. This Nov 2022, I did not buy any and did not try any.

In the early 1990s, I was mostly drinking lots of cheap wine. They were packed in boxes. Cask wine or wine on tap as they're called. About $20 for 4 liters. Always had one (or two) in the fridge ready to dispense. A wonderful aussies invention!

These days, I get them from NTUC, Sheng Siong or Giant when I happen to see them displayed prominently on offer. Usually $15-25 for a bottle of aussie, chilean or argentinian. I am not fussy. Some of them can be quite good though. Smooth, full flavoured and not too acidic. All sorts of weird brand names which I never bothered to remember. I prefer red to white.

Thank You all for the prayers and kind words.

I remember that in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Macdonald's used to screen the matches on big mega screens. I used to go there to watch. Just order a coke and fries and sit there for 2 hours watching. How come they stop screening it now?

because those customers have grown up to be unkers now, watching tv at home (after paying sextra to their tv providers), betting their bu’s and balls away, and wanking off with wuhan whores.
