A team of student pranksters has been terrorising residents in Singapore with their destructive stunts. They even have the audacity to film their antics and post them online.
A STOMPer came across the five videos on the Internet and alerted STOMP.
From the videos, it seems that at least two youths were involved -- one of them would be performing the pranks while the other films the acts.
The youths call themselves The Pranksters Association, and although they seem to lack creativity in the stunts they conjure, they make up for it in their video editing skills -- blurring out their faces in the video, for example.
The youths are apparently wearing secondary school uniforms -- a pair of green long pants with a white top -- in many of the videos.
They can also be heard conversing in Mandarin.
They seem to have an obsession with throwing and slamming things against the doors of HDB residents.
The pranksters' arsenal include long wooden sticks, a basketball, shopping trolleys and even a huge rubbish bin.
Their other pranks include placing a fan in front of a resident's door, because the door was "hot"; placing a trash can in front of an HDB flat, throwing an umbrella down several storeys from a corridor, and placing hazard cones in the lift.
The youths even tried to justify their acts, particularly on why they slam trolleys into people's doors, saying:
"People stole these from the supermarkets.
"They deserve it and it's our way of saying Hi."
The first video of their pranking spree was posted on YouTube on April 26, and the last one posted just two days ago on May 4.
But there seems to be a twist in the story.
The STOMPer also alerted us of another video posted by the pranksters, this time of them declaring that they would be retiring from their escapades, because they somehow found out someone was about to send their videos to STOMP.
The last video was accompanied by these words:
"I found out some faggot hacked into my old email and sent some shit to STOMP.
"And worst of all, he/she knows who I am."
After the videos were posted in STOMP, someone who claimed to be one of the pranksters in the video, sent an email to STOMP, asking for his public apology to be posted online.
The person, who goes by the nickname thesorryone, said in his email:
"I do hope that you will post this public apology by me.
"I was the chief prankster. I came up with all the ideas.
"All of these were meant to be a joke.
"Now I came to realise it's dumb and stupid.
"This was meant for my friends and I didn't think that it would get blown up to STOMP.
"I sincerely apologise for all my actions.
"I know we done all this just for thrill and the adrenaline rush.
"We were stupid. I am truly sorry for my actions."
