Singer Gary Cao and father once pursued same woman

TAIPEI : Malaysia-born singer-songwriter Gary Cao and his father used to share a tumultuous relationship and had once fallen in love with the same woman, revealed the star during a private concert in Taipei.
During the session, Cao, 30, shared some intimate details of his personal life with 600 of his fans. Talking about the relationship with his father, Cao disclosed that when he was 18, he and his father pursued the same woman, who was ten years his senior.
The object of their affection ultimately rejected both father and son as she had felt that the whole situation was ludicrous.
This was not the only fall out between the two. They had also gotten into a fight once after having too much to drink and required police intervention.
Although Cao used to stir trouble in his youth, fatherhood has since mellowed him down and the singer admits to being a loving father.
Unfortunately, he is unable to spend much time with his family due to his busy work schedule and is worried that his one-year-old son would not recognise him. But the doting father has a plan.
Like fellow singer Richie Ren, Cao plans to stick photos of himself on the wall of his son's room, so the little one can see his daddy all the time.
