It’s the same thing when he was at NOL. They transition him out by calling him a ‘Special Advisor’!

2011. He also held several assignments with Temasek Holdings between 2007 and 2011. He was with the Singapore Armed Forces since 1980 and rose to the position of the Chief of Defence Force from July 2003 to April 2007.
