[h=2]Ah Loong, the wrong PM for the times[/h]

"We're moderating the inflow of foreign workers and immigrants," he said.
Now, just don’t ask me “if not him, then who?” – for that would be as good as saying “without LKY bedding his wife, Singapore today would be rudderless and slated for damnation!”. Singaporeans were born through a spirit of resilience. We have shown ourselves capable of rising to the occasion when the occasion calls for us to be united against a common cause.
And it is this spirit that the PAP has been seeking to destroy from the day the LKY-led government took office. We do not need reminders of the countless times the ISA was called upon to silence dissent, to make scapegoats of political activists and opposition members, to break them and the spirit of those who supported them. Today, the same tool is being used albeit in a less direct manner. The subtlety of it does not however hide the sinister motive of breaking the Singaporean spirit. The leopard never changes its spots even though the spots may be hidden under the white fur of a sheep. One that is of leopard descent can never be a sheep no matter how hard it may try. And this is the fact that almost half of Singaporeans have already discovered.
It is understandable that the other half of Singaporeans believe that the PAP is responsible for what we are today. Some would go further to describe us as a success story envied by the rest of the world. I say it is understandable because these have been sold the story from the day their ability to think independently was taken away, whereas some others are saying this because they see no other alternative directions worth pursuing. That’s because they have become so much like jelly-fishes, fully dependent upon the PAP to give then the crumbs they crave for. What they fail to realize is that jelly fish does not eat crumbs. They do not see that their spirit have been destroyed and broken as if beyond repair.
One of the most common reason we hear from those who support the PAP is the visible progress we have made, especially the ‘glorious’ landscape we see ourselves in. And this is made possible by the peace we enjoy, a peace given to us by the PAP. Well, to some extent this may be true and we are thankful to our foreparents for seeing and embracing the need to live in peace with one another. We thank our parents for the many times they had walked away from trouble when it was easier to pick a fight. You see, the ones who cry ‘PEACE’ will never have peace until those who hear him want it just the same. The hard work of maintaining peace must be credited to the people on the ground. Anyone who knows how hard it took to get us to where we are today will never toy with the peace our parents have so painstakingly built.
Yet, it is the same PAP government that wants to break the peace and is attempting to build a ‘new peace’ with new strangers they are bringing to our homes.
Pinky’s government is now going around everywhere to declare to Singaporeans, telling them they owe the PAP so much that they have to start paying back, like what the loansharks are akin to do. It’s O$P$ time. They do this for the sake of their own political survival. They no longer see the sacrifices our parents made to help transform this tiny fishing village into the metropolis of financial and economic success, both regional and global. What Pinky fails to consider is the price by which he is prepared to pay to bring about further success. He is failing terribly as a leader, by not having the foresight to see what the rest of us can see so clearly – the dangers and pitfalls of a mindless pursuit of wealth at all costs.
As a PM, his first priority must surely be the well being of his people. Isn’t this what a government is supposed to do? Yet, he is blatantly ignoring his first duty toward his people. Instead, he tells them to go on-board with him, sailing his boat around his favourite fishing spots to pick up useless jelly fishes to supplement the locals who are feeling displaced and becoming disinterested in the place they live in. Together with the MSM, both are in cahoots with each other to deceive and to give the people no option of any choice, to sail the economic boat along a course that is too choppy and too uncomfortable for the local people on-board.
The only thing left to motivate the people is the company they have, the relationship they have built with one another. Yet, Pinky wants to destroy this as well. Through the MSM, he wants to portray the picture that only a vocal few who dare not reveal themselves online are distorting the truth that Singaporeans at large are very happy with what he is doing. And even though he knows that the masses are not buying his story, he continues to drum the same beat, using the old fashion love making method his father had so unabashedly used, that the first time is always the hardest, but with every subsequent encounter, it gets easier and easier. The question therefore is this, “are we so screwed that we are beginning to like it?”; or is it the Pinky one such a delightful screw-er that half the nation are queuing up to await their turns to be screwed by him?
If you are the 60.1%, it seems like you are enjoying it so much that you no longer care whether you are being screwed by a cow or the men-in-whites.
It brings us back to the question whether Pinky is the right PM for our times. Well, if you are among the ones who love to be screwed by him, then the answer must be “yes”. But if you do not have time for such illicit games, and you need every second of your life to find ways to feed yourself and your family, then you must quickly wake up and think deeply and carefully, whether someone else should take his place. And we do not have to have old man Harry screwing his wife for us to have a safe passage through life and through history.
