PAP govt will squander billions of tax dollars on these rotten junks!

F-15's tail fell off during a performance flight in air show at Fukuoka Japan today.

Previously all F-15 were grounded for falling apart in the air, a number of F-15 fuselage broke into 2 parts in the air.

Not a joke but for real. Real piece of junk!

They had been getting shot down by Indian air force during trainings using Russian SU-31's powerful thermal detection.

Only just few days ago at Hokaido Japanese air force's F-15 had a 200KG part of it's engine also fell off the plane while flying.

What kind of rotten junk planes are these? Why are we spending $billions to buy these junks?

U are such a fucking retard. Some Japanese F-15s are over 20 years old. The RSAF F-15s are brand new. If you drive a 20 plus years old Toyota Corolla, for sure more things will go bad with it than a brand new Corolla. Use your brain. The new F-15s are totally different from those models build 25 years ago. Other than the name, you will not find many common parts.

SAF ones are also junks. And RSAF pilots made things worst. Remember SQ006?

No you retard. The pilot of SQ 006 was a Malaysian, not a Sinkie. I know a few RSAF pilots, and they are not bad fliers. Many of them, if not all could be first line pilots in the USAF. On what basis do you say the RSAF F-15s are junk?

SilkAir Flight 185 was piloted by a former RSAF pilot!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SilkAir_Flight_185

I once saw an RSAF pilot pushing his planes to the extreme...by doing all kinds of funny maneuver...

That's not really uncommon...you know hehe...

The crash of Silkair 185 does not demonstrate poor pilot skills from an ex-RSAF pilot. Capt. Tsu was if anything a very experienced Skyhawk pilot, thousand of flight hours under his belt, and a Skyhawk instructor. There is several versions of the incident. One version is that he was suicidal due to debt problems and what not, and hence crashed the plane for insurance purposes or what not. If this is the case, than for him to do so is no easy task, because he has to push the plane nose over into a steep descent while fighting the first officer who must have been trying to stop him.

The other version is that a servo on the rudder lock in causing the rudder to hard over and plunging the plane into an unrecoverable dive. This has happened to several other Boeing 737s. The servo manufacturer actually settled a lawsuit with several victims families over this.

tiulehlohmohkorhai mudskipper lancheowman, are you going through another one of loony phases as a result of having been sodomised by your platoon mates in SAFGU some thirty odd years ago while at the same time verbally abusing your parents sexual organs? I told you to get help from a shrink didn't I? By the way, had that clitoris for a dick of yours grown another half inch since then?:D:D:D:oIo:

Most of American war toys are junks, from M-16 to M1-A1 to Los Angeles subs to B2 bombers. F-15 is one of the worst example, only last year they were all grounded 100% regardless of new or old.

F-15 will be a permanent joke I call it FLY 1 GETS 2, or BUY 1 GETS 2. Since it break into 2 planes in the flight mid-air. Very amazing. One of a kind. Very few planes can do that. Really very few had done that. Not once but on multiple occasions.

The only few American war toys that I see beyond passing mark are C-130 for example. It is at least reliable and versatile.

TSUIKI, Fukuoka -- An Air Self-Defense Force (ASDF) F-15 fighter jet lost a piece of its tail plane after it fell off soon after takeoff at an aviation show here on Sunday.

The 2.4-meter-long fragment from the aircraft's left tail plane ripped away as it banked shortly after takeoff. A planned five-plane aerobatic demonstration had to be suspended following the incident.

The tail plane fragment splintered into seven pieces, falling around 100 meters away from the base. There were no reports of any injuries or damage, and despite around 25,000 people being present at the time, there was no announcement made about the accident. The ASDF also failed to specify exactly where the pieces were found.

Following the accident, the ASDF began an immediate inspection of the tail planes on the 202 F-15s in its possession, and they will be removed from active service until it's complete.

A regular inspection of the craft and an inspection immediately before the show revealed no problems, and the ASDF are continuing to investigate.

The defective 737 rudder is more probable, I sort of think Capt Tsu had tried to land the plane on water but failed...ended up crushed in the Musi River in Sumatra. MI185 was tragic in every way.

The third and most ridiculously damning version, I have heard is this -

MI185 was down by a angry competitors' bomb for Silkair which was "budget regional SIA" thriving regionally before the time of MI185 at the expense of all other national carriers whom was regional at that time.

This is the most vicious of the conspiracy theories, because it requires a worse than terrorist class of cold-hearted people to down a civillian liner with a bomb with a commercial motive.

This is as bad if not worse than the pilot suicide theory.

a permanent joke that so far had lose little compare to many other fighter planes.

Remember trhe story of an F-15 that lost a wing and yet could still be flown? How many fighters do you know can still be flown with only one wing? So far the only other fighter i know that could still be flown with only one wing is the A-10.

The F-15 that lost its tail was still flying while others would have crashed.

So if anyone call the F-15 a junk, why dont you try to find a plane that can be better than the F-15 and still fly with only one wing, or better... no engine?

lose a wing and still fly, i think you need to show the evidence of such a claim.

jews, they claim a lot of things.

they invent bible, Jesus, christianity, Judism, virgin mary, 3 wise men and they can add fly with one wing story.

let i said many times, if you can believe in jesus, you can believe in anything.

Haha, maybe our RSAF pilots are better off flying vintage MIG-21s like the Indian Air Force.

Going by the same agrument, the RSN would probably has the best minesweepers, one was still afloat after being shredded off by 1/3 in head on collison with a container ship.

lets dont get religious or attack another race. I dont think that is fair.

The main thing I m showing here is the quality of the plane, but at the same time I cant deny that solid training and the quality of the polits are important too.

The Isreali Defence Force (Air) had shown in many battles against odds of their quality that even the Americans find themselves unable to match. I dont think we should take away that credit.

I have also made a claim that the A-10 is the only other plane that I know that is able to fly on even when it lost a wing. Will put up that info if I can find it.

An opinion is judgemental, subjective not necessary fair. ;)

RSN ship hit by another vessel in Singapore Straits

Posted: 04 Jan 2003, 1800 hours (Time is GMT +8 hours)

By Chan Kairen

A Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) patrol vessel, RSS Courageous, was hit by a Dutch-registered merchant vessel at 11.35pm on 3 January.

The collision occurred in the eastern Singapore Straits near Pedra Branca.

Out of the 44 crew members on board the RSN ship, eight sustained minor injuries and were evacuated to Changi General Hospital for medical treatment.

Five of them were discharged after treatment, while the other three, all in a stable condition, were warded for observation.

Rescue operations are currently in progress to locate four missing female crew members, who were in the sleeping quarters in the aft of the patrol vessel at the time of the collision.

"This was a most terrible accident," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Dr Tony Tan, at a press conference held at the Ministry of Defence on 4 January afternoon. "Our efforts now are focused on rescuing the four servicewomen who were in their resting quarters in the aft of the ship at the time of the collision."

"The damage here was most severe and the rescue operation is a complicated one. We are doing everything possible on the ship and we hope to complete the rescue operation as quickly as we can," he added.

RSS Courageous is being towed back to Changi Naval Base to enable further rescue efforts to continue.

In the meantime, search and rescue operations involving RSN and Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) assets are continuing at the scene of the collision.

"We share the distress of the families of the four servicewomen who are still unaccounted for," said Dr Tan.

"I want to assure the families and all Singaporeans that we are doing our utmost to rescue them."
