Every time Lee Kuan Yew plants a tree, they clap and he claps too

“We must encourage those who earn less than $200 per month and cannot afford to nurture and educate many children never to have more than two… We will regret the time lost if we do not now take the first tentative steps towards correcting a trend which can leave our society with a large number of the physically, intellectually and culturally anaemic.”
- Lee Kuan Yew, 1967

Yeah, like your albino grandson and an assortment of other fugly descendants.

Exceptional genes.

According to my feng-shui master, it's only a matter of months when the old leaf would drop off.

The only good LKY is a dead LKY. Imagine the amount of money that can be saved if he dies soonest.

I'm still hoping that someone can find and post the video or picture of keechiu ushering pinky to his seat before the start of a lunchtime rally before GE 2011. The look on keechiu's face and his overall mannerism were priceless.

As for LKY, I have absolutely no interest in him at all. The reason being that the mentality acquired and/or inherited from him is already prevalent in many. His presence or absence is no longer of any significance.

Imagine the full-blown ass-kissing from the local mainstream media after his death. I suspect that they have already made the special 'tribute' documentary to be broadcasted over and over again upon his death.

And the nation, I mean the media whores will be in mourning for months.

Hehe..spot on. All he had to do was shovel some loose earth and soil and use the watering can. The rest are done by porlumpars.

Which tree will the last leaf fall?? They say he planted a tree..but look carefully, the tree had already being planted...all he did was to hold the spade & wonder if it was too heavy for him?

Don't know how many trees planted by him live to this day?

What good is planting a few trees here and there when you're destroying chunks of secondary forest and other natural habitats?

I see that they have painstakingly spruced up Holland Village so that LKY's entourage could have a nice photo-op session.

At least 60. They even lost count.

Today (June 16), to mark five decades since the start of Singapore’s greening efforts, Mr Lee, who has since planted more than 60 trees in Singapore, planted a Rain tree at Holland Village Park.

He is only a pale ghoulish shell of himself. Those buggers damn cruel to pull him out and make him do all this hard work. Let him sit in his pampers all day lah.

me only interested to see how the sycophants would behave at his passing :o:o:o

No interest in that either, I already know how they will behave.
My only interest is whether they can break free of that mentality, and my current guess would be no. :(

Old man already 1 foot in the grave. It's a matter of time. I am sure he is a billionaire by now.

They counted?? wow! I planted some trees in Boon Lay during Tree Planting Day that is in November right..many moons ago during my National Slavery days...I dug the hole, dropped in the tree shovel in the earth..don't know how many I planted, I lost count...unfortunately I wasn't LKY if not, they would name an orchard after me...:D

Because you are a nonentity, so even if you planted more trees than LKY, nobody cares.

just wondering if they would jump ship... need an entry for the ode you see... :o:o:o

Not sure if credit of "greening" Singapore should go to him, but whoever that had the vision to greening Singapore deserves a big round of applause.
Every time i travel to the humid neighbouring countries, i come back with a "home sweet home" feeling and that is because of the amount of greens. Without the greens Singapore is a concrete jungle, just look at Sengkang or Punggol and that is what i mean.
