hahhaaaaaaaaaa Loser Sinkees
Ehh you mean you are comparing Everitt Rd and Oxley Rise, like apples and oranges??? The prices of properties in Oxley Rise are only a fraction of the prices of properties at Sentosa Cove. By your reasoning, it must be because of the other old one living at Oxley Rise. Afterall, the Oxley Rise old one has made a lot of Singaporeans whine and complain. Perhaps if the Oxley Rise old one would move out, the properties there can fetch the Sentosa Cove prices!!!
Ehh, my friend who viewed the house in Everitt Road and finally bought the corner terrace at Tembeling Road, parallel to Everitt Road, at only $520 psf got a real bargain compared to the Everitt Road houses. Just told him what some of you said and he thinks you don't know about property prices at all. By the way another bit of info from him......the house directly opposite the Chans is for sale......come on since it's must be very cheap, according to you fellows, go buy it.[/QUOTE]
it is cheap for a reason.
who wants to stay opposite that mad old man. chey.
pss.. he your father is it? or r u 'HIM'??![]()
Be afraid. Be very afraid. They may move to a house near you.
Even worse, they may split up and move to houses near three of you.

These ugly childish old coots should just die seriously.
Spot on. Nothing like bad neighbours to bring down property values wherever they are. However, some can really live in blissful oblivion or ignorance. Or they must have infinite Zen calmness.
You really don't know anything about real estate in Singapore do you?
Bad neighbours are pimps with their stable of prostitutes, illegal 4-D runners, loan sharks and their bullies, old women who shout out hokkien vulgarities, gangsters and thugs, and irritating kaypohs who would want know the colour of your underwear and every intimate detail in the guise of being "friendly". I haven't read that about the Chans, have you??? What the newspapers say must be truth and nothing but the truth.
I have never been to Everitt Rd, but have been to Oxley Rd. Alot of the homes have remained untouch by renovation, or re-development.
I wonder why that is so
How to compare Sentosa's resort lifestyle to living on the mainland![]()
Even the people living around the Orchard Rd area need to go to work.
They didn't lose the house, didn't they come to an agreement with the bank?In a way that everitt family is a sad case. All that animosity has consumed the family. No point trying to determine who is right or wrong but just imagine all those years of lawsuits, legal fees, tense env - it must have eaten them up from the inside.
There is more to life - for the daughter - perhaps marriage, children or at least be in a relationship and for the old parents doting over grandchildren, inviting neighbors over for coffee - would seem to be a better use of time and money.
After these many years, they spent a fortune on legal fees, have their face splashed over the media, and now they have lost their house. Perhaps in a way, losing their house is a blessing for them.

Not everyone wants what you stated.
Some people actually like to have confrontation in their lives.
Does not matter if they settled with bank. That is still a big hole and there is probably some financial issues or else family will not allow situation to get to the level where the public hears of it.
But you are right, if you enjoy conflict then that is fine.
