Poly carpark fee
'I must pay $160 a year.'
MS GLENDA KOH: 'I am a third-year student at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The polytechnic is implementing a carpark label scheme that I think is uncalled for. I have been driving to my school for a year now and parking my car is not a problem as there are plenty of spaces available. Moreover, the fee is $80 a semester. A year consists of two semesters, so I must pay $160 a year. This is too costly for students. I believe the lecturers are the ones who complain of insufficient carpark spaces. If that is the case, the polytechnic should reserve spaces for them. Some students may opt to take public transport, but it is tedious after a long school day. Moreover, I must change buses twice each way and the journey would easily take up to an hour.'
=> Wow! What kind of world crass public transport system is this?
