Encounter with a mentally disturbed taxi driver

encounter a very rude taxi driver yesterday. business trip returning from hong kong. take transcab from t1.

went up tell him go to sims drive. taxi driver never say anything. not even erm or ok. totally silent.

30 seconds later, tell him again, use PIE exit paya lebar. taxi drive again never utter a sound. at that momemt I really thought I step into a taxi driven by handicap (mute) person. but no such sign to indicate he is mute. wonder what is wrong with him. not happy to be a taxi driver? quit lah.

finally before reaching he spoke, need to turn into carpark? I replied no need. normally I give $2 tips. for this rude imbecile, nothing.

Taxi drivers are a very stressed lot. The first 5 hours of driving is to make the money for rental, diesel and car-wash. From then on, will be the money for himself and his family. Life is tough for taxi-drivers in Singapore.

There are times when they spend the whole day at Comfort service centres. Very very little is deducted from the time spent there. From then, it would struggle for rental, diesel, car-wash and what little they can make for themselves.

Comfort always post high financial turnover at the end of their financial year. They pay huge bonuses to their tops guns and others BUT nothing for the cabbies.

On top of that, many get scolded by commuters for making a wrong turn, entering a slightly longer route. The list goes on.

For this type of asshole taxidriver I usually get out of the taxi and leave the door open. Let him come out and close the door himself or he can drive off and let the door slam close.

Life is tough for PAP IB forum hosts. The first 20,000 page views per month is to cover the cost of hosting, server admin, database maintenance and website security.

Only after these overheads are covered will there be any money left over for the forum owner.

The PAP government posts a huge financial turnover and they pay themselves huge bonuses but nothing for the forum owner.

On top of that, the host is constantly getting abused by opposition supporters and the innocent members of his family are not spared either.

life's a bitch ain't it?

Most Singaporeans have mental problems. If they were sane, they wouldn't return the PAP to power at every election.

You have your head screwed on the right way this time. I have added your point

Anyway, what is his taxi number ? So that I can avoid this mentally disturbed taxi driver ... :D
