Embassy car in hit-and-run

A CAR believed to be from a foreign embassy was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Bukit Panjang Road early on Tuesday, hitting three people at two different traffic junctions.

Police said that the car first hit two pedestrians who were crossing the junction of Bukit Panjang Road and Bangkit Road at about 3am.

Mr Tong Kok Wai, 30, and Mr Bong Hwee Haw, 24, suffered head injuries and were taken to the National University Hospital (NUH). Mr Tong is in the intensive care unit while Mr Bong is in a surgical high dependency ward.

Instead of stopping, the car continued on its path of destruction. Witnesses said it beat another red light 100m ahead at the cross-junction of Bukit Panjang Road and Pending Road.

There, it hit another pedestrian, Mr Muhamad Haris Abu Talib, 18, before speeding off.

Mr Haris was also taken to NUH with leg pain.

Singapore does not grant Diplomatic Immunity to CD cars, unless of course it belongs to big brother the YU ASS A.

That area is a cheap area of S'pore. So for embaasy people to live around there should be from 3rd world countries. Also some Koreans CD cars are frequently seen there. Maybe one of their children took it out for a spin.

The eyewitness should publish out the car number plate for all to see in case there is some cover up.

Rubbish. All countries get immunity. However, if the driver does not have diplomat status (e.g. a Singaporean driver), he will not have immunity.​

Yes, they do. TP will issue summons/tickets. These are collected and batched monthy by the embassies and returned to TP with Thanks. Its basically issued so that the Amabassdor or someopne assigned by him will look at who is making the country look bad.

What kind of fuckup logic is this?

1. As some bro pointed out, so easy to steal car meh in Singapore. Somemore go and steal vehicle with CD license. knn. thieves would steal a car with normal license plate to quickly ship out of Singapore.

2. Steal car already would have send to somewhere to quickly ship out of Singapore. Still hang around in Singapore to grab attention by cheonging traffic lights and knock down people.

3. The next time I see a fucking Romanian in Singapore, I am going to ask him/her to be careful of people stealing his/her car.
