Eggs thrown and coffee splashed at Gerakan service centre
GEORGE TOWN: Eggs were thrown and coffee was splashed at the front door of the Pulau Tikus Gerakan service centre here Monday.
Penang Gerakan chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan, when contacted, said it was clearly a politically motivated act and could give rise to unease among the people.
It is learnt that no police report was lodged over the incident. Teng said it was a small matter and urged political party leaders to keep their supporters in check.
"All of us should condemn political violence because it does not at all reflect Malaysian culture. Such acts must be stopped immediately," he said.
Teng also said that such acts were becoming a trend of late, whether it involved property of the Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties or those from the opposition. - Bernama
