About 30 passengers had to walk along a stretch of the Downtown Line tunnel to safety at around 9pm yesterday.

The train they were on was heading to Bayfront station from Downtown station when it broke down about 50m before the Bayfront station platform.

The incident was caused by a power fault, said train operator SBS Transit.

Train service along the whole of Downtown Line was disrupted. Services resumed about an hour later at 10.10pm, with longer waiting times.

If they can't even manage a simple MRT project in which they have years to prepare & have access to all the expertise money can buy. just imagine if Spore ever needs to go to war, just imagine all the potential cockups that these PAP generals may cost in Sporeans lifes

If the MRT system is unreliable what about the reliability of ALL those made in Spore weapon systems Suspect a few corners were cut. Even those imported weapons need proper maintenance.
