A MOTORIST hit a motorcyclist as he was driving down Jalan Sultan early on Tuesday morning. But instead of stopping, the 38-year-old driver sped off after the collision at about 3.20am and parked his car at nearby Pahang Street. Police said a member of the public who saw the accident tailed the driver in his car and identified the suspect when police arrived later. The driver was arrested after failing a breathalyser test at the scene. A subsequent test showed that his breath contained 64 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath - nearly twice the legal limit of 35 micrograms. The man has since been released on bail pending further investigation. The 24-year-old motorcyclist, who had multiple injuries, was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
