If you guys have the chance, do visit the Cavern Club in Liverpool. Its was worth the visit and the experience. I thought it was lot of bling, expensive and the usual tourist trap. Turned out to be quite normal both in price and experience. I think the owners were conscious of capturing the Beatles era and it was real great. Naturally all beatles songs, great crowd of beatles loving tourists, and lots of singalong.
Singapore in the 60s, 70s, and early 80s were great for music and local acts. Missed the era. Even the bouncers in that era, spoke good English, lovable guys and spend time slow talking the drunks and trouble makers.
The guys in the East Coast ruled the roost.
