Dollah Kassim has just passed on ......

condolences...

he was in coma right? maybe its in a way, freedom?

alas i think Singapore soccer never really appreciate him given the state our Shit League is in.

...rip ......:(

RIP...that year the whole squad including QKS was my HERO...so proud of being a Singaporean....and so passionate also..

Now, just look at the miserable League Games....a big yawn!!!!!!!!!!

My condolences... Personally I think it's better for him to go after coma for so long.

they ought to honor him with a statue outside the new Stadium or something....or have an award like Dollah Kassim cup or Dollah Kassim award...

thats the least FAS can do to honor a sportsman who play for his love and passion and not money.

He managed to hang on for so long since he went into a coma. But he gave up immediately when national stadium was demolished! :(

Its really sad that he had to go relatively young. 60 is not old especially for an active sportsman like him. I don't know the extent of his coma but it might be a relieve for him although his family would have wanted him to hang on.

Dollah Kassim gave thousands of Singaporeans pleasure. I used to go to every home match, whether it was Malaysia Cup,Singapore Malays or international match during the 70s and 80s. Now THAT was a football team! and Dollah was a star among stars.

I mourn him but I will not miss him as I will have all those memories stored safely in my mind. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Dollah...

I wish that the Sports Council can create an area in the New Sports Hub to commemorate our past sportsmen, alike.

The 70s Singapore national team was a legend. Now, all is left are only memories....

Now Dollah is probably reminiscing on the good old days with Uncle Choo down there.

It's so miserable and uncurable that even Quah Kim Song gave up and resigned as director.

Yes, it was widely rumoured that Dollah Kassim was on the take from bookie syndicates to throw games. There was even an underground nickname for him, Dollar Kasi. However, none was proven and there were no charges brought against him. Anyway, he's gone now. RIP.

My condolences to tat "old lion" of s'pore soccer! Rest in peace, Dollah!

SINGAPORE: Singapore's football legend Dollah Kassim has passed away. He was 61.

Nicknamed the 'Gelek King' for his extraordinary dribbling skills, Dollah suffered a heart attack a year ago while playing in a veterans' exhibition match.

Doctors said he suffered an injury due to a lack of oxygen to his brain immediately after the collapse.

He had been in coma since then and was cared for at home. - CNA/fa
